After one year of registering the marriage in the vital statistics office in Lebanon, the wife of a Lebanese citizen can apply to obtain the Lebanese Nationality.
One copy of a recent family civil registry record.
Notarized petition (including Spousal Approval) EITHER in English OR in Arabic from the wife requesting Lebanese citizenship, Spousal Approval should be included in the same statement.
A certificate of cohabitation issued by an official/ or religious authority.
Two copies of the wife's Birth Certificate.
Two copies of the wife's passport showing the change in her last name.
Two copies of the Lebanese passport of the husband.
Two copies of Lebanese Marriage Certificate.
A Cashier's Check or USPS Money Order Only payable to the Consulate of Lebanon in the amount of $50.00.
A pre-paid self-addressed return envelope. (The envelope send should be of a big size)
Please sign a written request stating your demand to renounce the Lebanese citizenship:
At the Consulate General’s headquarter if applying in person.
In front of a notary public for applications sent my mail.
The original Lebanese passport and copies of the passport (pages 1 to 6).
A Cashier's Check or USPS Money Order Only payable to the Consulate of Lebanon in the amount of $1,000.00.
A letter from the U.S. authorities stating the reason of the request of renunciation of the applicant’s Lebanese citizenship.
A pre-paid self-addressed envelope. (The envelope send should be of a big size)
